The complaint names Michael J. Carelli (Carelli), 2 Gordon Lewis, Pacific Mills, Inc. (Pacific Mills), and the city of Lawrence 3 as defendants. At the close of the plaintiff's case, Carelli, Lewis, and Pacific Mills filed motions for directed verdicts. The trial Judge allowed the motions, and the plaintiff appeals.
